Why are some people so brave with others lives?

How many lives is this story(Pearl's story) worth?

Is your hubby in Afghanistan, mine has been on and off alert so many times, I've lost count.

How right you are! I find it troubling that those who are so quick to humanize these reporters are also just as quick to dehumanize the soldier/sailor/airman/marine. They also have lives, loves, families (that would be us!) that they wish to come home to and their lives certainly are not expendible because someone else acted foolishly (and probably thinking the U.S. Army's job is to rescue them from their own lack of horse-sense and self-preservation)

My spouse is retired now and I will be sending up prayers for your beloved husband's safety!! Semper Fi to you! :)
