I hope, for the kidnappers' sakes, that they did not kill him.
To: RCW2001
That was a very quick extra 24 hours...

Fox is reporting that the kidnappers are demanding 2$million and the release of someone whose name I don't recall.

Our special ops guys should kill everyone within 10 miles of the place.

Wonder how long till the spooks get em?

I have been thinking that this was all a hoax of some sort being played out by pretenders to terrorism. I still hope I was right and that this story is wrong.
To: RCW2001

Oh, I hope it's an error. This breaks my heart. I pray for his wife and unborn child. I also pray that he is still alive and ask for God's protection.

What is really going on here? If they HAVE killed him it occurs to me that the intent never was to gain any of the demands. The demands were purposely made impossible because their real agenda is something other. Perhaps just to suck us in to further conflict in Pakistan. Perhaps to sow discord in Pakestan. Perhaps just to publish their own little group and cause in their local area.

How can they possibly misjudge us so much. How did they get the idea we would actually negotiate ?

May God give comfort to the wife of this good man, to his family, to his friends and to his coworkers. I keep trying to say more, but I'm so angry with the stupid, evil, creepy, subhuman terrorist that everything comes out hateful. I'll work on it.

The irony is he apparently died for a government he didn't like, if the reports about him are true.
To: RCW2001
And I will just betcha, that his killers were devotees of the well known Religion of Peace.

Alright, this is going to sound insensitive but it is the way it is. The guy went there of his own freewill and KNEW of the possible dangers that he would face. He went anyway.
It is NOT the responsibility of the US Government, nor the US Military to rescue your ass in a hostile foreign land if you get kidnapped.
Many times when you travel to countries with travel advisories you sign something saying that you realize you are on your own and that the government will not come and get you. I know for a fact that many missionaires working over seas sign such documents.
While this is a horrible incident, I do not think the government should have risked the lives of mulitple military men in an attempt to go and save his butt.
And as far as his wife being pregnant, maybe he should have thought about that a little more before he left.
