Several years ago in Fort Worth Texas, a deranged man brought his rifle in to a church and started shooting people. Nobody was able to stop the massacre, because no one was allowed to legally carry in churches for self defense. The law has now been changed in Texas, so it is a little more risky for deranged lunatics to shoot up churches now.

A relative's boy friend worshiped at that church and usually attended that service. He has a CCW, and is fairly proficient (I believe I turned him on to getting one). Just by happenstance, he didn't attend that particular service. He still feels a little guilty. The "If only I had been there" syndrome.
Of course, when people are there, and do stop the mass shooting with a firearm, the OldDominantLiberalMedia ignores them, as they did in the recent law school shooting.
