Jeb Bush is going to take a significant hit on this. Just how big a hit depends on how he handles it. The best strategy for him to employ is total candor --- not slick lawyerly evasions.
The girl is ill. OK, fine. But with deliberate planning she committed an illegal act. It also appears she did not act alone, since it is likely someone else impersonated the physician in the two phone calls to the druggist. That brings conspiracy into it.
Her illness does not excuse these acts. It is astounding that a 24 year old woman of her background would act so irresponsibly--the granddaughter of a President---the niece of a President---the daughter of a Governor!
After Jenna had her troubles it was incumbent upon all the adults in the Bush extended family to impress upon the younger members the absolute neccessity for unreproachable behavior. If those responsible adults didn't know Noelle had a problem, they should have known. I am disgusted that they didn't take that job seriously enough to prevent this maddening distraction from happening.
