Yup. My favorite part is how so many people in favor of the War on Drugs are all of a sudden saying that Xanax isn't that big a deal, and that maybe Noelle should get some therapy, but no way should SHE have to go to jail... Where are all the zero-tolerance folks now?

It would seem that she already had a presciption but faked a phone call to renew it. A bit more patience could have found her a doctor willing to dole out more prescriptions if her doctor refused. Barring that option, someone already posted a number of links to obtain Xanex without a prescription.

The fraud committed appears to be a new level of desperation for her.

The only case I recall hearing of a celeb faking prescriptions was Dano Plato who already had a criminal record including armed(?) robbery.

I don't know what the standard punishement is for a 3rd degree felony of this sort (first offense).

Different mitigating circumstances (especially in her legal past) will determine whether she serves any jail time.

This arrest could point to an increasing problem in her life, it could be the only time she got caught, or it could have been a fluke. Early to say.

Well, call me a cynic, but I have no doubt in my mind that her family name will have one heckuva lot more to do with her serving any time than her legal past...

"It perhaps could be a blessing in disguise...now she will receive the medical treatment she really needs.....I deplore these commercials on TV extolling the wonders of drugs such as xanox....and how about viagra! have they published the number of men who died as a result of this drug.....I do think we should look to the FDA to compel drug manufactures, who do produce these potent drugs, to clearly explain to physicians the toxicity of these drugs....It seems to me that this girl may have been introduced to xanox by a reputable physician, perhaps she had a condition that required it.....
