The Clintons told the press to back off on their daughter. Gores kid was well protected as well.
That's why it's "fair" to shoot the messenger. The messenger only reports on the Republican kids. Or have you not noticed that?

Or the messenger becomes part of the story when a Democrat Party Worker who happens to be a manager of a Texas restaurant calls the cops (on 911, no less) and the newspapers at the same time to nail the Bush girls.

Everyone is suspect period when it comes to the Bush family and these kind of incidents.

I was waiting for someone to start crowing "Chelsea Clinton." That's a load of bull hockey. Do you honestly think that if the press had police reports in hand of Chelsea Clinton trying to buy booze underage, or had photos in hand of Chelsea Clinton falling down drunk, that they wouldn't have run them in a heartbeat, even if Billy and Hilly hollered? You better darn well believe they'd have run them. I'd bet the life of my firstborn plus my paltry salary for the next five years that they'd have run them. And if you think otherwise you don't know how the press works. The bottom line is that while the press is obviously liberal, there are a lot more people in it whose agenda is selling newspapers than there are whose agenda is screwing the GOP and conservatives.

I don't know why people keep obsessing about Chelsea Clinton around here, just like they do her daddy ... both of them are quite irrelevant now ... but could the story be here that Billy and Hilly did a better job of getting the realities of life over to Chelsea than the Bushes have done? I have no doubt, no doubt whatsoever, that Chelsea Clinton did and probably is still doing as much wild stuff as anyone of her age. But could the difference be that she realizes at what point to stop, and to make sure no cameras are around?

That's the point I'm trying to make ... because of the realities of the media spotlight, someone in the position of the Bush twins or Jeb's daughter can't just let go and "do" like the average person. They always have to be thinking, in the back of their minds, that someone is watching. And again, if they think that's unfair, they need to take it up with Daddy.
