Police in the state capital Tallahassee confirmed Noelle Bush's arrest and said it involved the anti-anxiety drug Xanax but other details were not immediately available.Who knows something about Xanax? It's pretty commonly prescribed, isn't it? I know it's very easy to develop a dependency on it (I know an elderly person who is terribly addicted to it - has been on anti-anxiety meds for some time). Do people abuse it for reasons other than to control their anxiety?

Do people abuse it for reasons other than to control their anxiety?Don't know that much about it beyond some cursory reading, but it looks like it's in the "downs" category, and part of the same drug family as Valium.

Vicodin (a pain killer) is much more addictive than Xanax, something smells here-unless this gal was an absolute nervous wreck and taking 100mg a day then stopped..and that is highly unlikely
I'm sure Barbara the grandmother has taken all the children aside and warned them that there are people everywhere who will take any opportunity ot smear the president VIA his relatives.

I was prescribed Xanax by a family doctor for a very brief period of time -- only a few days -- to help me get past a very stressful situation. Luckily, I never had any need for it before or since. It was very calming and effective and I could see how someone could become dependent on it. That does not justify forging a prescription or whatever happened here. Still, I don't see how this can hurt GWB or even Jeb very much. It's nothing compared to what John ("The Pharmacist") Zaccaro, Jr. (Geraldine Ferraro's son) did.

Xanax is also used as a sleeping med.
