AND HOW' BOUT THIS JUICY PIECE OF GOSSIP?
Bloomberg Business Report just announced that Global Crossings, a telecommunications company which established a world wide fiber optics cable network, has declared bankruptcy. Bloomberg further announced a sale of certain of Global Crossings assets to PRC headquarted Hutchinson Whampoa Corporation in conjunction with its bankruptcy declaration.

When did McAuliffe cash out I wonder?

I liked this tid bit...

And he was suffering through another bout of media criticism. Ever since the Gephardt campaign, McAuliffe had forged increasingly strong ties with representatives of organized labor; unions had become some of the Democrats' biggest soft-money donors. In 1996, McAuliffe had apparently coordinated a deal in which donors would give money to the AFL-CIO if the AFL-CIO contributed equal amounts to the Democratic Party. The plan seemed designed to funnel money to the campaign of Teamsters president Ron Carey—who was locked in a bitter election fight with challenger James Hoffa Jr.—in exchange for labor contributions to the Democrats. The money swap violated union bylaws and led to Carey's ouster. Both union and Democratic officials testified under oath that McAuliffe had been aware of the machinations, but McAuliffe insisted that he never knew that any of the money given to the AFL-CIO had made it into Carey's pockets. As recently as last summer there were whispers that McAuliffe might be indicted in the matter, but the case is growing cold, and an indictment now seems unlikely.

This guy makes sleazy...sleazy....

SCANDALOUS !!!!! YUMMY.
Now, who will start the investigation?
How much did Clinton get, and what legislation did he trade for it?
As with Gepfarts wife and the Airline industry bail out, what legislation has the DNC brought up in return for this "little" cattle futures deal?
WHOOowaaaa.

Your juicy gossip is perhaps leading to unintended consequences from this article? I love it when the press/Democrat love fest calls attention to the wrong details at the wrong time.

Global Crossing is the latest emerging telecommunications company to stumble under a high debt load and flagging stock price. It had had $22.4 billion in assets and $12.4 billion in liabilities, making it the fourth-largest U.S. bankruptcy, in terms of assets, behind Enron Corp. (ENRNQ.PK), Texaco, and Financial Corp. of America.

GLOBAL CROSSING SAYS TO KEEP ANDERSEN AS AUDITOR

Global Crossing is audited by accounting firm Andersen, which is currently embroiled in the scandal surrounding collapsed energy trader Enron. The accounting firm has come under attack for blessing Enron's books, which were later restated, and for admitting that its employees destroyed documents related to its audit of Enron.

Get ready for another Arkansas "suicide."
This company, Global Crossing, lived and breathed via the DNC.
