Read the title of this post, Walt - no more DUPLICATE POSTS. That means ease up on the cut & paste party! They are talking, I believe, about the practice of posting the exact same article without seeing if someone has already posted it. That thread on Robert S. Mosby was a complete waste of bandwidth and had nothing to do with political discourse in any shape form or fashion. It was a straight vanity dump.
And dump is definitely the right word.
And every time I see complete, utter nonsense about the legality of secession or the racism of Abraham Lincoln and the rest of the long list of crap spouted on FR by neo-confederate crazies, I will refute them with the historical record.
I know you don't like that; would that I would heed your diktat not to use the record. Sorry, can't do it.
Walt
The only record you're using is a broken record broken record broken record...
"And every time I see complete, utter nonsense about the legality of secession or the racism of Abraham Lincoln
and the rest of the long list of crap spouted on FR by neo-confederate crazies, I will refute them with the historical record."
The rewriting of history to bolster the PC position is not crap.
And I have seen plenty of "historical record" that backs up both positions on this subject.
Rooting out the truth is a significant part of what FR is all about.
BTW, I happen to be born a Yankee. The same with most of my family.
I also had relatives on both sides of the conflict.
I find this an interesting and relevent subject, but I'm hardly a "neo-confederate crazie"
-in spite of the fact that I question the "official" version. (And I've seen plenty of reason to do just that.)
