Thanks for all the input.. I do really appreciate it.

And, aparently I wasn't clear about my intentions.

The idea was to cut out the nicotine, then to stop smoking entirely.

Because at that point there would be no nicotine addiction to deal with at all, it would simply be a habbit. Something you were accustomed to doing that you just tell yourself not to do.

But, as it is not only do I have the repetitive hand motions and such associated with smoking to deal with but really severe withdrawal. The two of them combined make it very difficult for me.

The logic being to divide and conquer them individually.

Thanks again.. You guy's are great!

Philip Morris has two offerings. Next DeNic is a brand that they sell in Japan, but I don't think it sold in the US. The other is Accord. This is an electric job that is supposed to cut the tars and CO way down, while still giving you the nicotine and taste. Smokeless too, so you lose the smell on your clothes.

Liggett's parent company, Vector is about to introduce Omni, that you read about already on this thread. This is also a very low tar product, at least, that's what's rumored.

I don't know what RJR has in the offing, but I'm sure that they are working on something.

Hope this helps...
