(CNSNews.com) - While many Americans will be celebrating Martin Luther King's birthday on Monday, some will be using the day to repudiate the Reverend Jesse Jackson and his Rainbow/Push coalition.

The Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson, founder and president of the Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny (BOND), will hold his third annual "National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson" in front of the coalition's offices in downtown Los Angeles.

Peterson accuses Jackson of attempting to undermine the Bush administration and the War Against Terrorism by trying to negotiate with the Taliban. He also accuses Jackson of continuing to pressure major corporations about employment discrimination with an apparent intent to enrich himself.

"Jesse Jackson is desperate and out of control. He's losing power and he's willing to do anything to hold on to it," Peterson said in a statement.

Peterson added, "Jackson is currently attempting to shake down corporations like Toyota Motors to enrich himself and his cronies. He doesn't care about poor blacks, or any other Americans. He has pit black against white, poor against rich, and his brand of exploitation has set race relations back fifty years."

Meanwhile, Judicial Watch, a conservative legal foundation, has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Jackson on Peterson's behalf. The suit alleges that Jackson incited a crowd to surround and shove Peterson during a recent meeting with Toyota Company officials in Los Angeles.

Peterson said Jackson called him a "parasite" during that meeting and later used a curse word to demand that Peterson leave the meeting. According to Peterson, a crowd then surrounded him, shouted racial epithets and that Jackson's son Jonathan shoved him.

The lawsuit asks for unspecified damages on claims of assault, battery, infliction of emotional distress and civil rights violations.

Also named in the suit were Jonathan Jackson and Gregory Mathis, star of the television show "Judge Mathis".

Peterson accused Mathis of allegedly taunting him and inciting the crowd.

Keiana Payton, a spokesperson for the Rainbow/PUSH Coaltion told the Chicago Tribune that neither Jackson nor the organization would comment on the lawsuit.

I don't believe that FR has anything like this, but I nominate Reverend Jesse Lee Patterson for the 2002 Free Republic Patriot Award.

Rev JLP should know that many Americans support his brave effort to expose the hypocritical extortionist, jj.

I encourage anyone who owns stock in any corporation that caves to the race-baiting jj and his Rainbow/Push Coalition to flood the respective Boards of Directors with letters, e-mails, and votes, and to NOT buy their products. Also, encourage others to do the same.
