This is not, and has never been, an East vs West (in terms of the landscape) war. From where I sit (on the east coast), there are far more New Age land-grabbing gurus in the west than there are in the east. Neither is it a rural vs urban war. It is a Third-Way vs the United States war (even though it is taking place all over the world)

Perhaps where you sit is the problem

Two-thirds of the U.S. population lives east of the Mississippi with the largest concentration living in the North-East, that this region has the most power in congress is undeniable. In the minds of many who live some place else the North-East and the Federal Gov't are one in the same.

I can't say anything about the northeast, because I've never lived there. But I can tell you that the mid-Atlantic and SE battle is constant and has been going on for years. And we're losing. It doesn't seem to matter how many city council meetings you attend or who you elect. We win an occasional battle, but we're losing the war. The only good news is that more and more people are starting to notice.

If you have not signed the petition, DO IT NOW!

Stop Bio-fraud, Investigate ESA Input Data

If you are not sure what this is all about get the pdf file which is a compilation of news articles from various sources gathered on the internet. The sources are: The Washington Times, The Washington Post, The Seattle Times, Sierra Times, FOX News, Free-Market.net, Seattle Post-Intellengencer, The Boston Globe and the U.S. Forest Service and many more. It is an PDF format and you can get it here. lynxfraud.pdf

Grab the pdf and use it as a resource to write your congress critter or favorite news reporter. This really does need to be investigated. The only way it will be is to yell and scream about it. If the fraudulent taking of our public land does not interest you read no further, take no action.

Someday you will want to take your children or your grandchildren to a public forest and it will be off limits to humans to preserve the habitat for an animal that is NOT there.

UPDATE

I have updated the pdf file with the 9 more news articles on January 29, 2002. This thing is exploding with interest.

Sign the petition now! Let Congress know you want an investigation!

Rep. James Hansen (R-Utah), chairman of the U.S. House Resources Committee, and Rep. Scott McInnis (R-Colorado), chairman of the U.S. House Forest Subcommittee have requested that the Government Accounting Office (GAO) investigate the incident. Rep. McInnis plans to hold hearings before the Forest subcommittee this spring.

Scream Loud! Scream Now!
