I'm sure she was properly vetted before being sent up. I'm going out on a limb here but I'll bet her congresscritter is Bwahney Frank.I know her both personally and professionally, and she's a great person -- really. Apparently her husband had some self-hating need to undermine her (i.e., jealous of her success)-- that's the only way I can understand this.

Is it possible that he was "outed" so as to prevent her from being blackmailed into ruling in ways that would be a detriment to the trial proceedings?

Apparently her husband had some self-hating need to undermine her (i.e., jealous of her success)-- that's the only way I can understand this. He did donate $1000 to Lesbian Sen Cheryl Jacques(D-Mufftown). So there's some evidence of that self-loathing.
I do stand corrected on Bwahney Frank since the RI article mentions Reisch being from Arlington.
