Boomer huh? Wild and crazy guys, the ones I knew. Boomer in the dorm across from mine toasted waterbugs (cockroaches) with a lighter and a can of Pledge. One ran out of his room, tail end still burning, and into the next guy's dorm. I'd NEVER heard a guy scream like that...

I had a roommate in college, who's dad flew those things.....back then he was "Col." Colleran, but I am sure he is retired. Any chance you know him?

My dad was a boom operator on KC-135s. He retired in 1974. He started out as a B-29 tailgunner, then a BO in KC-97s.
