Enron chair Ken Lay hosted a fundraiser Sept. 20 for Elizabeth Dole.
About $20,000 was raised.
The $5,000 "she raised from Lay and his family will be donated to Enron employees."

Great move, Clinton Flack Erskine Bowles will have nothing to say and it neutralizes the issue.
Still searching for the full article in the local paper.

Good. Maybe all Dems and Reps will follow suit. There are 2 chances this might happen: slim and none.
Repukie politicians would go broke if they had to play by the same rules as the Dems. Note that cheapskate Liddy only donated $5K received from the Lays, with Liddy keeping the other $15K received by her campaign at the Lay dinner.

I think the $5,000 may have been the only monies from Ken Lay and Enron, that way her hands are washed clean of the issue.

Who cares? E. Dole is a RINO anyway, she associates with you and your liberal leftist buddies.

Gotta love Liddy!

Classy would've been staying away from corporate money in the first place.
Corporate money is illegal you dunce. This came from a person.

If the Senate is in GOP hands, I would take a Republican like Liddy Dole anyday over a Clinton flack like Bowels.

I always thought so. He too, when he's not running for President.

Once again....style over substance. Trademark of a liberal. I expect better of Mrs. Dole.

She got the methodology from the king of weasel in DC. How much of the Riady money has the Clintons and DNC returned? Didn't they say they would return it?

No, that is what I'd call a real shrewd move by a cold calculating career politician.
She fully expects to milk a lot of good will out of that measly 5 G, and, based on some of the naive commentary here, it is working just fine.

The Dems are going after Liddy on the Gateway board issue in the Raleigh paper today, that one might have a little bit longer legs.
