An exhibition of designs for a new World Trade Centre has opened in New York.

The New World Trade Centre: Design Proposals exhibition will run until February 17 at the city's Max Protetch Gallery.

The designs include a futuristic idea from practising New York architect, Hani Rashid.

More than 50 designs are on display. They include sketches, renderings, and multimedia projects created by established and emerging architects. Mr Rashid is Adjunct Associate Professor of Architecture at Columbia University and has taught at Harvard.
