Gad...I can SO relate to your frustration. Don't move to W. WA - it would be deja vu all over again!

Still work in Dallas/Fort Worth. Lots of houses going up, but new construction is slowing.

Do you own your business or do you want to work for someone else?

Welcome to the US of A. I've been to every state in the union except N. Dakota and Vermont. The only places where a person can make a decent living are chock full of people. Utah and Idaho, maybe Montana, would be my first choices in the US, but you need to take money there with you, not try to make it there.

Actually, except for the politics (too much socialism) I prefer Canada over the US. More civilized; less crime; more homogeneous population and therefore less strife.

The Minneapolis area has been hot for a long time. If you go there, you'll likely find work but the cost of living is high.

Hmmmm...funny how when your geographical land mass is shaped like California you garner like mindedness.

Rural areas are dirt cheap....work the Twin Cities and live in the farmland.

I will finally be out of Vermont within 6 months. Its a shame that the reds have run me out of my own state.

We lived there for 2 1/2 years. Moved out of there in June. Living and loving it in Virginia.

Depends on what you do I guess...NJ's not all that bad....I just feel done with it.

I'll also consider living under a rock, somwhere...as long as I can be left alone.

I plan on working in Washington DC after I finish my masters. You definetly recommend Virginia over Maryland for newlyweds and raising a family?

Not yet. On my profile, it says "In May 2002 I will become a Coloradan." I wrote those words almost two years ago. I've got 135 days to go. Flying out in March to find an apartment, then driving out at the end of May to move in on June 1. I tell you there is nothing quite as satisfying as seeing a long term goal realized. I have big dreams for once we get out there too.

Sorry, can't help you. Been trying to figure out how to get out of California since 1995.
