A light Wednesday for President Bush as he greeted the Prime Minister of Turkey, Bulent Ecevit. During his meeting, the President took a strong stance against those who are seeking to overturn the tax cuts.

The President also spoke to the World Affairs Council National Conference at the Organization of American States in DC, where he warned that Argentina will face a "bleak and stagnant future" unless it embraces international trade and other free-market economic policies amid a devastating recession. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: I think raising taxes in the midst of a recession is wrong economic policy. It would be a huge mistake, it's bad for American workers, it hurt when it comes to creating jobs, and so I strongly disagree with those who want to raise taxes here in Washington, D.C. I'm confident that the American people agree with me as well.

Yeah, I bet that finger is for a certain Kennedy. Too bad it wasn't a different finger.

Our President deserves a light day. He does a lot of heavy lifting most of the time!

First photo, in which GWB is pointing: "Mr. Prime Minister, I don't know if you have this word in your language, but see that woman over there? Her name is Helen Thomas and she's a renowned Clymer."

GUIDO, you'd better be ready when you open up that Vanity Fair tomorrow. There's a LARGER than LIFE picture of the President that took my breath away! You can see every detail of his very handsome face.

I suggest you sit down before you look at it! LOL!

btw, the article is a little bit stupid, talking about "karma" and other stuff, but the pictures of "the team" are worth it!

I think you'd lose much of the effect on a screen. The hard copy is very clear and there is no nonsense about any of them. All business, even though Bush has the tiniest makings of a smile. It shows both the toughness but also their deceny too. There's a lot of complexity in this photo.

No offense intended here, but doesn't the Prime Minister of Turkey look like he has one of those glasses/fake nose/mustache disguises on? LOL!

Watered by Barney and Spot?

According to the President, the doggies know that garden "up close and personal."

LOL! I had a friend send me an e-mail that said she thought of the Marx brothers. As a plus for the gentleman, I heard him today and he was speaking English pretty fluently.

This is good, as I am pretty sure that W doesn't speak Turkish. I could be wrong, though. :-)
