"We were all feeling pretty darned good about our citizen heroes, and we were proud to be Americans! But we certainly can't have that, can we?!"
Guys, Joseph Farah has, IMHO, a pretty good take on the flag raising in his Between The Lines column today. As SL says, "We can't have that!" And' I agree when Joe writes that "they" are purposeful in their devisive tactics. "They" know EXACTLY what they are doing. "They have most to fear when Americans unite." And, it IS "sickening". Peace and love, George.

Most excellent article, George! Thanks for the link!! (The word "horrific" is gaining in popularity by leaps and bounds, thanks to 9/11. With good reason. Webster's could simply write, "See 9/11/2001" as a lasting definition of "horrific.")

What bugs me quite a bit about the revision is that it removes the focus of the initial photigraph. This was originally about a flag -- the symbol that was struck, the symbol that rallied a nation to fight back.
It seems added here as an afterthought, much, much smaller than in the original.
