When I read about the bouncing bomb/tires, I thought out loud: "UN-!@#$%$#@-BELIEVABLE !!!!"

And you thought the enviro-nuts that use old tire carcasses as building material were just being thrifty. They were doing RESEARCH on using what are considered waste products of our civilization, and turning it into a defense shield, that while it may not rival 'Star Wars' strategic defenses, certainly turned out to be an astonishment for military planners.

Right you are about TIRE FIRES....but it seems napalm would have been needed to start Omar's roof on fire...

Then again, we're trying to collect intelligence from the Taliban/Al-Qaida hideouts.
