I believe that Enron should be explained/positioned/spun as another Clinton mess that blewup on GW's watch.
Apparently (and fortunately) GW had the good sense not to get caught in the mess.

(in Monica terms, it's as if, in between oral sex with the President, she was squeezing in bondage sessions with Newt Gingrich and rounding out the day lapdancing with Strom Thurmond.)
I heard she scored highly at 'multi-tasking'.

I couldn't believe nobody put Steyn on their 12 list today!
The only "question" really being "raised" is: How can we pin this on Bush?
ON THE HEAD, MARK!!!!

Yuck.

Ken Lay was apparently a White House sleepover when Clintons were selling the Lincoln bedroom like Motel 6, an attendee at White House fundraising coffees, and purchased seats (in exchange for DNC contributions) on the Ron Brown trade mission planes - all illegal. He gives legal contributions to Bush, and the democrats think they have a scandal? Their daring even to mention this is madness. Have they forgotten that the media wing of their party no longer controls all the dissemination of news? They must be blinded with panic over the fall elections.

I remain utterly amazed that this Canadian consistently "gets it" while the Democrats never do.

Too bad American so called press doesn't write the truth ?

Read it and weep, Dearie. Sleazy Enron officials--and not the politicians that they legally gave money to--should be drawn and quartered for their evil deception. The Bush Administration sure helped Enron cover this up--NOT!!! I hope that greedy cretin Kenneth Lay pays more than his corporate criminal bud Bernie Swartz of Loral has for his crimes that damaged our National Security.
Even Clinton Butt-Boy extrodinaire Lanny Davis cautioned his fellow liberal talking heads about this scandal not being a smoking gun against Bush & Cheney the other night on CNN. I guess ole Lanny Boy doesn't want too much scrutiny since some of Enron's past doings lead straight to Enron officials "accessing" the Clinton Administration and fellow Democrats as well. Unfortunately, I think that both parties will do little against Enron in the long run...
Jeers.

In so far as anybody did "special favours" for Enron, it wasn't Bush but the Clinton Administration, which lavished over $4 billion in Federal funds on the company. Yeah, as if we hadn't figured on something like that, already. Thanks for the ping. Steyn hit another homer.

Per CNN All Politics.Com:
Ken Lay was an advisor to the Clinton Administration on energy matters! This thing is such a joke. I bet W is laughing is pants off - it's all turning towards Clinton.

In other words, if this is "another Whitewater", it's a bipartisan one: in Monica terms, it's as if, in between oral sex with the President, she was squeezing in bondage sessions with Newt Gingrich and rounding out the day lapdancing with Strom Thurmond.Has a nice way with words doesn't he ?

I heard a report on NPR about this, I believe Friday afternoon. They mentioned that most of the Senate (and quite a few House members as well, I think) had received donations from Enron, and they also said that
Enron had benefited from several new laws or regulations passed during the Clinton administration.
Of course, they were trying to pin all that on Sen. Gramm & his wife.

"I remain utterly amazed that this Canadian consistently "gets it" while the Democrats never do." Democrats are blinded by their faith.

I think we are witnessing something truly historic here, folks - the creaking, inexorable collapse of that rotted, worm-eaten old structure known as the Democratic Party.
