To: Old Badger
If the story is accurate it sounds like they got his name from the customer records of the gentleman who was marketing the .50 BMG kits. I forget what his name is but he was put on trial in Arizona only to have all the charges dropped by the BATF. I don't know what the outcome was but at the time there was some speculation on this forum that what they really wanted from this man was his customer records. The .50 BMG kits, when assembled for personal use, do not legally have to have a serial number.

Kudos to the reporter and agent for hyping up the dangers of this weapons awesome distructive powers. <\sarcasm>

Along the same line of thought pertaining to records, I had ordered on October 10,2001, 3 high capacity magazines (legal here) which I still haven't received. I am wondering if the company was a front for record collecting for the BATF. Paranoia is running rampant now that this BATF raid occured. :O)
