The bill authorizes $446.5 million U.S. tax dollars to be given to other countries for abortion-family planning activities throughout the worldIf money (which, like it or not is going to the foreign nations anyway) goes to family planning but not to abortion, I don't mind it.
You don't mind almost half a billion of OUR tax dollars going overseas?
So you don't mind the meddling in the affairs of other countries at the most basic family level?
How about if another country were to "give" a bunch money to our gov. to plan YOUR family!
Two questions:
How does this bit of appropriations ($446,500,000 "family planning") fit with conservatism and it's ideals? and,
What is the bit of the Constitution that allows this?

Get real and stop trying to put words in my mouth. Will our money be sent overseas? Yes. It will, it has been, and it likely always will be. Frankly, the god of "our tax dollars" is just a smokescreen for selfishness. There are more important things than money. There are some things we morally need to support with what we have been blessed with. This doesn't mean that it is incumbent upon us to fund every little special interest that comes along, but some things are morally and logically worth spending our money on. I would prefer that Americans do this on their own and their government stay out of the way and just use our money to help run the nation, but that isn't reality. Americans will not support the solving of problems overseas like they should, so our government does. Why? Because the American people ask for them to. Short of a major brain shift, that isn't going to change. Therefore, SINCE our money is going overseas anyway, family planning in and of itself is not a bad thing. Family planning with abortion attached is. I do not mind, SINCE our money is going there anyway, that it be used for family planning. I DO MIND it being used for abortion.
