On Thursday, January 10, 2002, the White House reported President Bush signed the ominous $15.4 billion foreign appropriations bill, H.R. 2506, for fiscal-year 2002. The bill authorizes $446.5 million U.S. tax dollars to be given to other countries for abortion-family planning activities throughout the world. The abortion-family planning funds approved by Bush represents an increase of $21.5 million over last year for international family planning. Also on Thursday, Bush signed the labor, education and health spending bill, and a defense spending bill that was widely reported by The Associated Press (Bush Signs Defense Spending Bill).

I put no words in your mouth, I only raised a rew points that you seemed to only ignore...
There are some things we morally need to support with what we have been blessed with.
compassionate communism-charity at gunpoint-helping with stolen money-"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." That sentence has been the driving force behind Marxism/Socialism/Communism for over a century.
conservatives have been turned into commies and they don't even care...

I am not defending the bill, but I don't like being lied to like this article does.

The only answer - maybe - would be national repentance. It ain't gonna happen. America was founded by people who based their lives and this country upon their Christian faith - that's what undergirds the whole shebang. We have thrown that away, and the Lord is letting us go. Plus, without that basic morality, this country has no hope of functioning as a free society anyway. As John Adams said, "The Constitution is suitable for a religious and a moral people; it is unsuitable for the government of any other." I love everything about what you said there -- especially the part about national repentence. Catholic dittos, bro.

"Yeah right. What's insane is the way the GOP cheers Bush's continuing the Clinton Legacy (and perfecting the police state) because ... well ... at least he's not REALLY Clinton." Harriman money bought Clinton and the Bush's.
It's not a good cop/bad cop routine: it's people arguing over whether or not "their" team (R or D) is going to win. But the same investment company owns both teams, and whoever wins, they get your money. The only big difference is that you have to pay whether or not you go to the game.

They'll never allow a PAB ban to come to a vote in the Dem senate.

You must have read Walter Karp's "Indispensable Enemies" somewhere along the line. He says exactly the same thing. No, I just reached the same (obvious, to me) conclusion after a lot of years' involvement in politics. I'm glad you understand too :)

This may not be what it seems. It may have as much to do with aids prevention as anything else. I don't believe that Bush would do anything overtly pro-death but I believe that his enemies will say and do anything to reduce his popularity.

I'm about sick and tired of that old lame "Wake up" call. It's insulting and childish. Sorry I offended you. Go back to sleep. Everything's fine.

Have you not been paying attention to the last 100 years of Bush family history?

I am fuming over this but I am not surprised. My dear husband has told me all along that Bush is Clinton-lite. And that education bill--please don't even get me started on that either.

actually, the better question is whether any of our tax monies should be sent overseas for any reason, and what is the portion of the Constitution that authorizes it... You are absolutely correct. Unfortunately, we don't live in a sovereign country with a Constitution anymore - we live in a global state with only the appearance of separate nations. It's all smoke and mirrors - else why do our "leaders" constantly refer to UN approval of things we do?
To: truthandlife
We don't control the Senate. If you want all the things on your wish list you should concentrate on giving conservatives veto proof majorities in both houses along with the WH.

Get off your self-righteous horse! Your shouting and preaching accomplishes nothing at all!
The truth about GW-Bush being a liberal and not a conservative hurts that much? Don't worry rush will tell you how this is all part of the conservative master plan.
To: hsmomx3
I am fuming over this but I am not surprised. My dear husband has told me all along that Bush is Clinton-lite. The bill actually prohibits the use of the money for abortions or coercion into abortion. The spin on the story is a lie, which is what I am fuming about.
To: truthandlife
I am a big time Bush supporter and I pray for him but why did he sign this bill with this garbage in it? Bush has been signing all sorts of bills full of garbage...welfare for non citizen aliens, nationalization of education, airport security screening, adopting the anti-privacy Medical privacy rules of Clinton, Adopting the arsenic standards, MFN for China...it's hard to remember all the sellouts. etc. etc.
I don't know why everyone is such an uncritical supporter of what is turning out to be a democrat in drag, except that he isn't Bill Clinton. What is it going to take before the right stops seeing him through their rose colored glasses and holding his feet to the fire before he gives away the entire store?

Read the bill yourself, and then tell me this covenantnews report is anything but a
lie. My first clue was that their own link resolves to a totally unrelated story about the defense spending bill.
