Don't expect to see either Bush or Vice President Cheney directly linked to the financial shenanigans that brought Enron down. They won't be. This is not about finding a smoking gun, as much as some Democrats might wish it were.

If there are no "financial shenanigans" by Bush how could it be worse than Whitewater? I guess this author thinks people are just too stupid to ask that basic, threshold question before they decide if a "scandal" exists.

The author ties thjis somehow to Bush advocating deregulation and tax breaks. No mention of Clinton's dead lap dog Ron Brown taking Lay around the Globe to cut business deals or the Enron donation a week before they declared bankruptcy to the DNC. If Clinton/Gore were still in office the feds would have bailed out Enron.

Where was marketwatch when Clinton was selling necular secrets to the chicoms for campaign cash and shtting down US coal development to help Riady.

They make me puke. They even admit Bush and Cheney actually didn't do anything for Enron, a pure smear. But this is CBS what should we expect.
