Dennis, stop fulminating and start cogitating. The problem is that no matter how unfashionable and inconvenient the 'Palestinians' may be, they have to
agree to be put on the reservation. Completely unreasonable and violent bastards they may be, but they are what we have to work with.
This is not a unique historical situation. It (resettlement) has all been seen before. But before it can happen, at least one team has to be thinking straight.

Good luck on getting them to agree to anything. War and turmoil are in their blood.

There have been many massive refugee problems before, resulting from wars. At the end of WWII, the entire population of three provinces of Germany were made refugees by those territories being given to the Poles. There were Approximately six million of these German refugees at the time. No one in their right mind is suggesting that the Poles accept back into Poland all of these refugees and three generation of their progeny. The Palestinians' demand for the "right of return" is equally insane, and the Israelis will never accede to it either. If that demand remains part of the Palestinians agenda for a peace, then there never will be peace in the Middle East.
