I didn't see that before, so thank you for calling it to my attention. I assumed you were upset because you seemed to think Dan was suggesting you really were part of a full-blown cult - but I think he said what he did to simply illustrate the blind devotion many people seem to have toward the man. You don't believe he really thinks it's a cult in the literal, religious sense, do you? I don't know why it would push such a button unless you thought he did - and I honestly don't think that was his intent.
And I think he has a point with the blind devotion. Few Keyesters seem to be able to see anything negative about him at all, and they treat those of us who do as though we've done something unforgivable. That is, to me, bordering on dysfunctional.
As to pointing out Keyes faults, I leave that to others...many here think it is a sport.
In case you haven't noticed, there are many here who, if they could, would destroy Alan Keyes.
Considering the fact that the man is one of the most articulate spokesmen for constitutional conservatism in America today, it is not healthy for the conservative movement, for the GOP, or for our republic, for that effort to go unchallenged.

Considering the fact that you are a Christian, and a FReeper, I have no doubt that we agree about far more than we disagree.
I hope the fact that we got off to a bad start with one another won't stand in the way of finding out in the future. :-)

(and good night to all)
