Also, look at the contrast between Daschle and Bush. Bush is so upbeat (this town hall format is perfect for him), optimistic, full of vigor and energy. Daschle behind a podium, pessimistic and depressing, and what a monotonous speaking voice. I think Tommy's presidential timber may have been cut down a bit. What a bore.
During tough times, the first thing most of us put "on the table" is the expense side of our budget. I hope Mr. Loserman would support congress taking this same approach.
Cut spending. Then maybe we can talk about whether you get our extra taxes back.
These people amaze me. This is like arguing over whether the IRS should send us our refund checks (which return surplus tax dollars).
Even as we speak he is over whining in Afghanistan. Rumsfeld should keep him off bases so as to preserve morale.
Especially when it involves 60 votes to pass legislation.
Why have the WTC unemployed been without benefits for more than three months?
Why wouldn't starting the tax decreases earlier stimulate?
Who are the 85% of America which consistently back Bush in the polls?
What would Dashole's... response be to the reason why we are fighting terrorism today, funding it as well as it's depletions, and subjecting our military to it's dangers?
Safe bet that 90% of our troops will avoid him. Hope they put a burqa on him and drop him at a cave entrance somewhere, lol.
Twisting the knife I see. :) I actually didn't see it, but if McCain said that he is lying, because I think the reason he voted against the tax cut bill was that the top marginal rate was reduced 1% more than he wanted - hardly the kind of stuff that would make or break the budget or the economy. Also, next to nothing has kicked in yet anyway, or I should say, just kicked in. I assume the journalist interviewing McCain brought up neither point.
:-} NAh, the reason he irks me so much is because he could actually help Bush do some good things for the country but he can't let it go. No more McCain pings, I promise. LOL
Great line!!
However, with Dianne's little defection, I smell a rat. Is there any chance that Hillary has been buttering up Tommy? If so, has she been doing that so Tommy would think he was in charge? And ... if Tommy thought he was in charge, would he take such a political risk without Hillary encouraging Tommy to do this - and do you suppose it was a SETUP? ... to get Tommy out of the way?? Hmmmm??

I wouldn't put anything pass these people.....
