Asman Interviews Geraldo
Fox News | 01-03-02

Posted on 01/03/2002 7:45:25 AM PST by blackdog

Geraldo just gave the most outrageous interview I have ever seen. Geraldo made the most non-journalistic comments I have ever heard. Such comments included, "I was the target of snipers and not the Northern Alliance." "I was furious when I found dirty bomb making materials in village"(with silly film footage).

I,I,I,I....The guy did not mention our military once. One would have thought he personally defeated the enemy.

What is Fox doing? Geraldo announced he is about to catch a ride to Somalia, Yemen, and Iraq.

I agree that Geraldo is a complete a**, but he's damn entertaining IMO.

Two points:

1) With a personality like that, I would be surprised if he wasn't the target of snipers. I can think of a few people on this forum who'd take the shot.

2)With what the guy gets paid, he probably bought a village in Afghanistan, and he's mad the seller didn't disclose the bomb making material.

That's why he's sucha big Clinton fan. The two can only talk about themselves...it's "I this" and "I that".

We have a toddler in the house and toddlers are natural "me" and "mine" people at that stage of development. Some people like Bubba and Gerry Rivers (before he politically corrected his name) have never developed beyond that stage.

As with toddlers, there are some that think this is "cute" i.e. liberals.

"I was the target of snipers and not the Northern Alliance."

Friendly fire no doubt! Too bad smart bombs won't effect reporters with IQ's as low as Geraldo's.

What I heard him say on another show was that WESTERNERS were targeted (hence he was targeted) over non-western anti-taliban.

In fact, he said a sniper's nest was wiped out because they were paying more attention to the western reporters than to the eastern alliance guys that flanked them.

I have to admit that I'm no fan of Geraldo's either, but I found his reports interesting and look forward to some from inside IRAQ!

I thought the interview was entertaining. I believe he did mention the military in the context that all the public was seeing on TV was the commentators and was not seeing the military/special forces. I think he was implying that the focus was not on those who were really doing the work although he did not say so specifically.

OneIfByLand said: "I don't understand what all the hatred for this man is all about. He IS on OUR side, you know? So, he took some time to tell us what he's doing there. I like to know that, too, as well as what the troops are doing. You all need to lighten up."

Some of us take it personally when people lie to us. Geraldo is not on my side. Much like the Soviets were a useful ally during WWII, Geraldo must be tolerated at times, but I would do nothing to support him.

Sorry.... he is the lowest of low. I recently found new channels on my tv because of him. I no longer watch FNC 24/7.

Bob Hope entertained the troops and homefolks in a lot of wars, and was a funny, funny man. But Whorealdo is an act unto himself. He's egocentric to the point he doesn't even know he's funny.

He will make all of the rounds. Remember, they think we have a short attention span. I'm not in the bunch. FNC has lost me as a viewer and I will let them know why.

I sent this to cavuto@foxnews.com

Fox tried to hire Tonya Harding and...ooops, missed and got Jerry Rivers. So they tried again and this time got Gretel VanSustrend. At least it's female.

Back to Jerry Rivers, the unnatural offspring of Joan Rivers and Jerry Springer. Just like the tiger won't change its spots, neither has Jerry Rivers principles and especially not conservative principles (neither does Gretel).

Doug Huffman Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

The conspiracy of ignorance masquerades as common sense.

I got this in return

You tried! FNC has me totally confused. I couldn't wait for ComCast to carry it. Now that I have it, I've sent more negative emails to them and all because of Geraldo. Now the addition of Greta.... too much for me.
