Snow started falling here in Goose Creek, SC at 8AM, but it's not really stickin'. It morphed into sleet. I'm fretting because I put the Rooster and the big chick on a bus to West Virginia to ski this morning.

I just got back from a nature walk with the little chick. Did you know you can peel the ice off a magnolia leaf and have a perfect ice leaf? They're in my freezer now!

Yes, snow makes us a little giddy. Nothing will ever compare to the white Christmas we had in '89. I think God was trying to apologize for Hugo.

Phantom Lord reporting in. Very little to no snow action in Apex. Very light flurries, if you want to call them that.

Ran out of milk with breakfast this morning. Stopped on way home at store to get some. Store looked like a tornado hit it. Wussy southerners running scared and panicing.

Take this advice... ITS ONLY SNOW! You Do NOT need to buy a months worth of groceries!

O-ya, no milk left for me to buy.

Greensboro here. There was nothing coming down around 7:00 as I went into church tonight. By 8:30 the ground was white and the cars were covered.

This is a real fine powdery almost misty snow and It was coming down hard and fast on the drive home. Typical in any southern snow storm, there were knuckleheads driving causing accidents and giving me a couple of scares during the drive. What normally takes 15 minutes took 40 and I managed to make it up to the top of my hill and get the car turned around and parked facing downhill so I can break out easily when its all over with.

I made a huge pot of chicken and dumplings so I'll be eating those tomorrow after I sleep late. Definitely no work here tommorow.

Greenville here.

The forest behind the house is like a winter wonderland. The children have been in a snowball fight with neighbors.

We got our ski gear out and went "snow catching" with our tongues.

We're playing snowy Christmas music. :-)

Stocked up on bread and milk early this morning as those things were flying off the shelves.

Luckily, my "war emergency" provisions will hold up for a few days!

Will try to post pics in the morning.

Stay warm!
