I'm reminded of the fable:

It took a child to point out that the "Emperor had no Clothes".

Just as most people either agreed with their beliefs or didn't.

I wasn't aware that Bill Clinton had any beliefs.

Thank you, whether it is true or not it is a good read. I do have one area of opposite belief

This is not a liberal-conservative, Democrat-Republican issue. It transcends labels. All participants should hold their candidates and leaders to the highest standards, which should be a prerequisite. If the parties fail to do so, the public should reject them.

Many, many years ago, I use to be a card carrying member of the Democratic Party. I worked as a volunteer, while in college on the primary and final election campagn for the Governor of Washington State for Dixy Lee Ray (you may remember her when she headed the Atomic Energy Commission). I also attended presidential Democratic caucus meetings to support Henry (Scoop) M. Jackson and H Humphrey. That was a long time ago, when there were what I would call real Democrats of substance, morals, and vision. People who had ideas about what they thought was right and wrong and would live with them. I am no longer a Democrat, because there are no longer any democratic candidates I can respect.

The Democratic party is the party of Ted Kennedy, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Henry Waxman, Barnie Frank, Gary Condit, Maxine Waters, ...... The Democratic party no longer has any concern about honesty, tightening the country's spending belt for greater long term good. The Democratic party is about power hungry people trying to make a fast buck and live a fancy lifestyle at the expense of the taxpayers in exchange to pandering to the masses.

I number of years ago, I got into an email debate with a "smart-assed" right wing conservative who told me that the "only good Democrat was a dead Democrat." Then I could list a number of people who I had voted for and who I worked for their election, who were good people and were democrats. Today, there are very, very few "good Democrats" I know of who are alive and in high political positions.

There are a lot of honorable Republicans that I can name. That is why I think that the Democratic party is in such real trouble and why the person who wrote the original article found himself a member of the Republican/Conservative agenda. That is also the only point that I find wrong with the article. Democrats are different from Republicans on moral, vision, and integrity grounds and Character does matter. Bill and Hillary should have taught everyone how much character does matter. What I find shocking is how many people still vote for Democrats and how many people are proud of the Democratic Party leadership. The people of this Country have not yet "rejected" Democrats and that is creating a real "moral divide" more significant than any economic, ethnic, racial or other divide that Democrats like to focus on.

Nice read:

Clinton did just about everything that a parent would advise against. He lied, covered up, verbally attacked those perceived as a threat, was disloyal to friends, and basically only cared about himself. Clinton had a " 'You got to do what you gotta do' " ("the New Senate Politics") attitude that superseded all other interests.

Oops, we were wrong.
