And they're both considered kooks by moderates and quite a few conservatives. How does that advance anything? I understand what you're trying to say, but there is a fundamental principle that conservatives must follow in politics - reality. Kooks or people who seem like or are easily labelled as kooks, also appear out of touch with reality.

What if Buchanan were slightly less kooky in his PR and had taken more votes away from "W." thereby electing Gore? What would that have achieved? (I'm not disputing this current set of predictions on population, just the highly questionable public statements of the messenger).
