The Klamath tribes view the fish as sacred gifts, and have banded with environmental groups to keep the spigots to area farms dry.
The draft report under review said there is an atmosphere of "farmers vs. Indians" and that a strain of racism is running "quietly beneath the surface."Let me get this straight: The Indians want to shut down the farmers, so the farmers don't like the Indians any more (they aren't helping them to raise as much money! the horror!), so therefore the farmers are racist. What a crock of sh-t.
You can dislike a group of people for specific reasons, without being a bigot.

"The Oregonian reported that farms lost about $71 million in revenue without the water, and the loss to the regional economy totaled about $134 million, about 3.2 percent of the total. "Too bad reporters do not translate these dry facts into human terms, i.e. the actual effects on the farmers, ranchers, and businessmen and their families. Of course, the whole action is predicated on a fallacy so trying to insert facts is an exercise in futility.

The son of a bitching main stream press does everything but stay focused on the action! Rule of law? The farmers were trampled, pummeled and hung out to dry, by a bunch of clintoon cronies on their last gasp of air to try and discredit the Bush administration.
