There is difference between "starvation" and "war crime". Yes, but not always. CCP policy caused it.
But excluding the CCP created famines, the CCP liquidated more landlords and class enemies before they even took over the whole country than tha Japanese killed cicilians.
And afterwards, the CCP did millions more enemies. They didn't have box cars and death camps, but they did it holocaust style nonetheless -- just bullets to the head on the spot for millions simply for being who they were.

What remains a mystery to many of us Americans is why our own U.S.State Dept, would promise to throw our military/economic support behind Cho Enlie(sp?), and his Christian ideals/desire to implement a U.S.Constitution in China post WWII, only to pull out and leave him hanging in the breeze. Instead our support went to the Communist Mao.
Is there any rational explanation to that little piece of historical insanity?? Were ALL our U.S.State Dept people communist?

She and whomever she is associated with are actually much greater forces for good in China than the people who would say she has no brains or are aghast at it or want to attack her. Sorry, but she did this for attention and nothing more. She wasn't making a political statement. Even if she were, it's hard to argue that the statement could be construed as positive given the level of atrocities comitted against the Chinese people (not government, but people) by the Japanese.

Gen. Marshal was the Chairman of the KMT-CCP negotiation team at the time. The CCP was prepared to participate in a coalation government the US suggeested, but Chiang Kai-shek didn't want to share power with anyone.

Nothing of the sort ever was even remotely the case.
Zhou Enlai (Chou En-lai) was a doctrinaire communist atheist his whole life and was always a loyal Mao supporter, even to the point if being a sycophantic worshipper.
That is long before the establishment of the PRC.

Sorry, but she did this for attention and nothing more. Why say sorry? The point still stands. Punk rockers in the 70's were doing ti fro attention too.
I am right, you are wrong.

Hey, why are you still here spreading your Chinese Communist Propaganda.
Lies and filth and distortion.

Not always. Zhou persoanlly deprived Mao of power in 1933 after criticizing Mao's "Rich Peasant Line".

They are not glorifying the CCP's mistakes, are they? Mao is responsible for the famine, everyone in China knows it. There are tones of articles criticizing the Great Leap Forward in China.
