First, let me make my claim that I hate the Clintons with all the passion that I hate Stalin, Lenin, Hitler and other moron power seekers.
That being said, however, I hardly find it strange that a person in her early twenties is "out of control" and drinking. If this kind of action were printed for every late-teen/early twenties kid in the nation, we'd run out of trees to print the newspapers that they were written in.
So what if she drinks. She was not elected to office and has every right to pursue whatever life she chooses. I don't like the !@#@#, but she has the right to be her own person, regardless of how "immoral" that may make her in other people's lives. Its called Liberty folks, get used to it.
I agree. I'm glad no one was around in my early twenties, taking pictures. Yikes.
Liberals tried to capitalize on Bush's reputation as a partyboy in his youth. Now Chelsea will have a public record if she ever decides to follow her mother's footsteps. I have mixed emotions on this but the Clintons did trot out Chelsea when it suited their twisted political ambitions like pushing Chelsea out front on Martha's Vineyard after the Monica revelations or campaigning for her mother. More recently, Chelsea took advantage of her celebrity parents to publish her experiences on 9/11. If an adult seeks the limelight, they must expect that they expose themselves to favorable as well as unfavorable attention. News items like this appear almost daily when sport stars or entertainers are caught in embarassing situations - why is this any different?
