"WHAT IS A PATRIOT?"

PATRIOTS are not "Revolutionaries" trying to overthrow the government of the United States.

PATRIOTS are "Counter-Revolutionaries" trying to prevent the government of the United States from overthrowing the Constitution of the United States. - Unknown Author

What brings the PATRIOTS out of the woodwork?

When the constitutional process, the system of checks and balances set up by the Founders, has not just been thrown out of kilter, it has been thrown out the window. These socialist maneuvers are what attracts PATRIOTS to the streets of America.

The CONSTITUTION has been thrown farther off track since 9/11! Of course this should not be mentioned in political circles, especially within earshot of your Congressman or local reporter.

If Mr. Rockwell were to have his way, we would lose several thousand MORE American citizens at the hands of Saddam Hussein and his thugs before taking out America's enemies in Iraq and elsewhere.

When has Iraq attacked America and why do we have so many enemies?

How many would have died if we were staying home to begin with?

Good question. What makes America's political class think they rule the world and why do we let them get away with it?

"How many would have died if we were staying home to begin with?"

Good question. Ask the South Vietnamese...the ones that didn't die in reeducation camps or drown in the China Sea, that is.

"The Nation and Life. The Nation was hardly a mainstream publication: it was the leading pro-Soviet magazine of its day. Even before Pearl Harbor, it had called for U.S. intervention into World War II on the Soviet side."

NCFBTN, The intelligencia {FDR} had NO interest in entering World War II UNTIL Hitler attacked "Mother Russia". THEN, the caterwalling began. Peace and love, George.

I think NoCurrentFreeperByThatName was refering to American deaths. Do you think it is America's role to fight in every war around the world? I don't want any American to die for the cause of globalism.

It is perfectly fine for you to disagree with Sobran's take on an issue. This is the perfect place for debate of that nature. However, debating his viewpoint is entirely different than slamming it simply because you don't like the source it was taken from.

I think if Congress and the press had their way the Constitution would be buried in the Arlington National Cemetery along with all those who died defending it.

Bump! Disregard the Lew Rockwell bashers. It seems they just want to shout down any opposing opinions. They would rather bash than debate.

Good article, btw.

--I think war should be a last resort. A very good "first resort" is to not allow the international blood profits at any costs folks to run our foreign policy for their personal profit, and then use the US military to clean up their messes after them. The unfortunate cirtcumstances we find ourselves in though, is every electiuon cycle, we can pick from blood profits candidate A or B, if we choose 'c" then we get condemened for 'wasting our vote". Well, I'm for "wasting" my vote that way, rather than "wasting" foreigners and our own troops in the big war fake out scams.
