How do you reconcile that with the fact that Amsterdam has been a safe haven for Jews for hundreds of years?

Though I don't doubt that were NAZI collaborators in Holland, I am not sure that one sticks in general. If however you can establish that somehow the Dutch, who had protected Jews from the French and Spanish for centuries, suddenly become anti-Semitic, what do you think changed and why?
