I see from your posts on this thread that you are not really interested in serious discussion of the points raised by this article.

If you were, you would have responded head on to the points made by the other posters here showing the flawed premise and reasoning of this article.

The question is posed, what would Jesus do? Assuming for the sake of argument that the historical Jesus and the Jesus found in the Christian Bible are one and the same, the answer is exactly 100% opposite of what the author of this column would have us believe.

Even stronger, we are told by Jesus Himself in his own words what He WILL do to Osama Bin Laden, not what he would do, and what Jesus WILL do, (if he hasn't already) is a whole lot worse than anything George Bush can accomplish, even with the might and power of the U.S. Federal Government and a united citizenry behind him. For Jesus according to his own words is going to personally send Osama Bin Laden along with all others who do not believe in him to hell forever, "into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." Matt. 25:41.

Take for example John 5: 24-29: "I tell you the the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves wll hear his voice and come out - those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned."

As to the question of what would Jesus want George W. Bush to do, he would want him to exercise the responsibilities that he has been given in his office to use the power of the sword to protect his people and punish those who do wrong, like say murder thousands of innocent people.

Romans 13: 3-4: "For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is god's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of justice to bring punishment on the wrongdoer."

Thus, George W. Bush is in fact doing exactly what Jesus Christ wants him to do in using the power of his office, the power of the sword, in defending America from the threat of the terrorists and bringing them to justice.

From the public accounts of his faith, he realizes his duty, and understands it clearly. While I highly doubt you are of the character and mindset to allow yourself to be enlightened in these matters, I do thank God that Mr. Bush understands them much more clearly than yourself or the author of this column. Intellectual arrogance and intellectual laziness go hand in hand and together often take the quickest path to error, as your posts on this thread have demonstrated. I would advise you to take a different approach, if you want to get closer to finding truth.
