It is my understanding that there are many such visits to the Japanese coastal areas by Korean "spy" ships.

Many of the Pachinco Halls are owned by resident Koreans who send large amounts money to North Korea via these ships.

There have been confirmed stories of women kidnapped from Japanese beaches. There are taken to North Korea to train spies in Japanese lanaguage and culture.

The crew were trained as spies, who also carry out drug export programs crafted by North Korean leadership. Their interlocutors in Japan are members of the Chosen Soren North Korean underground spy community. A mixture of both.

And they know this from interviewing the survivors? Oh, wait, there weren't any. So they must have known this from going over the boat...oh..wait, it sank. So they knew this from the wreckage? No, wait, that was minimal (although they're talking about raising the wreckage so they can examine it).

Last I heard, the Japanese weren't exactly sure who it was, and the North Koreans haven't made a peep about it on their news website. It's an enigma, wrapped in a mystery.

Now that Japan is on our side, I'm very glad to know that the Japanese still know how to fight. It has been more than 50 years, since last they fired on somebody in anger.

We had figured on FR it was a spy ship in position for the upcoming H-2 A rocket launch.

Just some smugglers. Japan is probably preparing to put the smugglers out of business. Like Barbary pirates and Alqaida.
