I know I'll receive eternal damnation for this one, but here goes...
Augustus Gloop Song
Oompa loompa doompety doo
I've got a perfect puzzle for you
Oompa loompa doompety dee
If you are wise you'll listen to me
What do you get when you guzzle down sweets
Eating as much as an elephant eats
What are you at, getting terribly fat
What do you think will come of that
I don't like the look of it
Oompa loompa doompety da
If you're not greedy, you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa Loompa Doompety do
Doompety do

I never realized "Sharona" was about a pedophile. That song if forever in my mind though, because the summer it was popular and getting airplay all day long, was the same summer I was burdened with an employee who liked to keep the radio on at earsplitting volume all day long. He was even more awful in any number of other ways.

OK, I haven't read all the posts so I don't know if they have been mentioned, but the two worst songs from hell are:
"Are you reeling in the years by Steely Dan", and the one that goes... "Blinded by the light, wrapped like a douche until we motor through the night"

Hey girl, I betcha
There's someone out to get you
You'll find him anywhere
On a bus, in a bar, in a grocery store
He'll say "Excuse me, haven't I seen you somewhere before?"
Chorus:
Rap-a-rap-a-rap, they call him The Rapper
Rap, rap, rap, know what he's after

Oops! Didn't mean to imply that you were old 1FF. Also didn't intend to post under Teacher317's name. Didn't realize he'd logged on to my computer and didn't check before I posted. My bad!

The lasting memory of a weekend skiing at Durango
Two doors down
They're laughing and drinkin', and having a party
Two doors down
They're not aware that I'm around
Everywhere I went that weekend, this song was playing. Jukebox, radio, club bands, EEEeeeeeeccchhhh!
To: Gil4
I actually like Felice Navidad! Remember Melanie's Brand New Key? The part that ran in my mind for weeks was- you've got a brand new set of roller skates-I've got a brand new key! Merry Christmas D.B.D.

Ramones-that's practically all they sing through the whole song.I think of that song everytime someones kid gets out of line.
To: Uncle Meat
LOL I'm sure ifn I heard it I would know it.
A quick surf shows it was released in 1988. Guess I was either comatose or outda loop that year.
Cheers!

On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And a sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
{Refrain}
I been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert your can remember your name
Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
(la la la...)
After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a riverbed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead
You see...
{Refrain}
After nine days I let the horse run free
Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with its life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love
You see, ...
(Refrain)
