It slays me. If a theologian can think up evolution (DARWIN) why can't a THEOLOGIAN refute it?? (Any Thinking Christian)

Of course there's no reason at all. It's just that they'll need to do it in the proper forum. Writing articles in First Things isn't going to cut it.

Here's the thing: While evolutionists, to a man, will sneer and wag their heads about the Dark Ages, when a Priesthood claimed exclusive possession of sacred knowledge, demeaned and punished anyone who disagreed, and looked down its long nose at the unwashed, ignorant masses...

...all they've done is create a new one.

Only instead of long black robes, they were white lab jackets; instead of ordination certificates, they have degree certificates; instead of physically killing people, they kill their careers and reputations.

Only Scientists can criticize the dogma of Evolutionism (see logjam's posting, above). But by definition, if you don't accept the dogma of Evolutionism, you are not a Scientist! Therefore, no scientists reject Evolutionism. See? Neat! See the pretty circle!
