[history]
Ernest G. Green, the former civil rights activist who helped integrate an Arkansas high school in 1957 as a member of the "Little Rock Nine," pleaded guilty yesterday to federal charges of misdemeanor tax evasion, the Justice Department said.
Green, a managing director at Lehman Brothers in Washington, was accused by federal prosecutors of failing to declare and pay income taxes on $30,000 he received in 1995 from Charles Yah Lin Trie, a former Democratic fund-raiser, Arkansas restaurant owner and longtime friend of President Clinton.

Anyone know how Web Hubbell is paying his back taxes? Last I saw, he owed over $600,000.

:-)
The Census Bureau didn't know how to count Aunt Hattie. They finally had her surveyed.

If memory serves, the Burton Committee questioned Green. He did not sound like a responsible and responsive citizen, eager to help his government reach the truth :-)

I think he should pay it off at $2 a hour breaking stones in a federal work camp.

"Anyone know how Web Hubbell is paying his back taxes? Last I saw, he owed over $600,000." I'll bet he signed some kind of deal with the IRS to pay this large sum over a period of time. My best guess.
Merry Christmas to you Larry and to all my Christian friends in this thread and at FR.

Green is worse then a tax-cheat for excepting this Chinese arms money.
Why does nobody dare call it treason?

Last I saw of Web he had that hang dog look as he took a bus to work (no car).

Thanks for the ping. Will have to read up on this Nam Van Lake project....a new one on me.
Green - will he serve one day in jail? I will not be happy until all the Clinton crime family are behind bars. But, at least, this conviction has taken place. (quite remarkable in that maybe it issues a signal that the Clinton crimes are not, as many think, being ignored by the Bush administration after all????)
