I don't think UC Berkeley has the equivalent of the Kinsey Institute. So I don't get what you mean by "...quite to the level of Berkeley." I have only visited Berkely once, but all I saw when visiting the campus was posters for Gay and Lesbian organizations. Tie that with their anti-war protests and their history of liberal activism and liberal professors and I am puzzled as why you seem so defensive of Berkeley as if it is some great center of conservatism.

Most of the anti-war protests attributed to UC Berkeley were actually conducted by non-students, many out-of-towners. I am defending UC Berkeley because I am quite familiar with it and would like to see it treated fairly. When I was there there were radical, liberal, conservative and far-right professors: e.g., Jensen, Teller... Most of the posts here who mention UC Berkeley disparage the University but offer no specifics...sort like maintaining a bad rumor by innuendo alone. I had classes taught by two Nobel Laureates, in Physics and Chemistry, and all things considered it is a superb graduate institution that does not indoctrinate according to political philosophy.
