Here it is: Where does a person wind up if he gets in a boat with a one-armed boat rower?

I can paddle a boat from one side and keep it pretty straight on course. My dad taught it to me when I was a kid. You simply turn the paddle or back paddle a little to steer it. Don't believe me? Try it.
