Lately (growing up in the Word of Faith Camp - to which Meyers claims to belong) I have about had it with shallow and selfish Christianity - which Meyers espouses. That is.... the main battles she is attempting to help us overcome are: spilling coffee on ourselves and keeping out temper.... keeping calm when we awake with a bad hair day.... controlling our greed and selfishness with our mate... not chewing out a waitress when they mess our order up, and so on.
It just seems to me that those kind of things are trivial at the least.
I disagree strongly. Christian character is an important goal to set. I'm pretty sure that we were told to love one another? If we learn to deal with the small things that bug us, how much better can we deal with those who are hard to love?

Can you give an example of Jesus dealing with any of the issues such as "spilling coffee and getting mad," or a "bad hair day"? I have not found any Scripture for these issues.
Joyce is still in Kindergarden herself. She has just found her nich with selfish American "soccer moms."
