Some people are never satisfied. They'll always find something to complain about.

Don't you know? The only time you are allowed to criticize the President is when he has a (D) after his name.

He hits the nail on the head when he mentions the Bushes' Arab oil interests. I can only imagine the nonstop outcry you'd get on this site if Clinton and his family had such close ties to the Bin Ladens and the Saudis.

But, since they're Republicans, it doesn't matter.

"the end result we now see "

Sure, this would not be a satisfactory "end result"- the only reason anyone would use that standard is to keep the pressure on for more action.
That's fine with me, and the rest of America.

Just want to also say that I'm in awe of the extremely difficult balancing act being done by Team Bush. I don't know that it could be done better. They are balancing a bursting bubble of a economy (in fact that is being countered not just balanced), a war effort, a battle against fierce internal political enemies. It is a superb job!

Sperry is totally clueless. First, the 3 "wasted weeks" at the beginning of the war. We needed time to get the military assets in place to persue this war. We also need a strategic and tatical plan, not just fire a couple of cruise missles, why not simultaneously build an alliance? Next who the hell declared victory from the administration????? Certainly not Rummy, If anything the administration said that even getting Usama wasn't victory, we need to get the whole bunch. We did kil Atef and perhaps Zawahiri, 2 of the top 3 in the org along with capturing unidentified Serior AlQeada leaders. This is a good start.

Sperry is clueless on this one. The administration is saying this thing is only beginning and they are right.

I wouldn't let them use 9/11 as an excuse, the economy was tanking no matter what--and this was after Bush's tax plan became law. I thought that was supposed to prevent a recession--hmmmm.

Check that date. I don't need the Republican "facts". I have the real ones.

The title implies that the Bush Administration has declared victory.

I have never seen anyone in this administration claim victory yet. It is much too soon for any criticism of the war results.

You beat me to the punch with that post. Some people have short memories, don't they? I remember when Sperry was being lauded as a hero around here for his picnic with Slick...

It would be nice if your "real" facts included such tidbits as the tax rebate plan being a Democrat demand that Bush agreed to and that the tax cuts Bush advocated haven't taken effect yet.

And since housing starts and the stock market are on the rise again, I'd wonder about the accuracy of the "no end in sight" of that headline.

Absolutely. I don't remember anybody saying this thing was even close to being over. Sperry, who has done some great reporting that was ignored by the major media, perhaps serves a function in reminding us we have yet to accomplish the goals we set. But he hasn't given any evidence that we do not retain those goals.

Un PC, your continued use of that 4,000 innocent civilians figure reveals your lying Lefty agenda. You have been outed, Chimpster.

we're spending money like there's no tomorrow...

I thought you Dems liked spending money? Last time I checked, Bush and the Republicans were trying to cut as much spending as possible while the Democrats keep piling it on to "stimulus" bills that should include tax cuts only.

Take your lies elsewhere -- and be a good lefty and carpool with MurryMom, please.

How about showing a graph of the DJIA since January 20? You guys don't give up with your dishonest attempts to make the dummy look good, do you?

Why do you lefties always insist on obfuscating?

stag·nant (stgnnt) adj.

    1.Not moving or flowing; motionless.

2.Foul or stale from standing: stagnant ponds.

    3. a.Showing little or no sign of activity or advancement; not developing or progressing; inactive: a stagnant economy.

b.Lacking vitality or briskness; sluggish or dull: a stagnant mind.

Obviously, according to the definition of the word that you yourself used, the stock market is NOT stagnant. Seeing as how the President has not been in office for a year, it would be impossible for him to have been responsible for things going on before he took office.

Or do you deny the downturn in the economy began while Clinton was in office?

Anybody else remember the endless lectures during the Clinton years about toning down our rhetoric, respecting the office if not the man? Guess that only works one way, eh?

Hey wow that is a real good Photoshop manipulation----NOT! How come the top part is white with crystal clear black type, the middle is a obvious newspaper scanned copy with grainey text and the bottom is white with crystal clear black type again? Man if your going to fabricate to support your lies, at least make it look believeable. Liberals! What dumbasses!
