I have not read this history, but have read similar things like it. Quite frankly, they depress me. I have known many surviviors of the holocost personally and my own family history comes out of White Russia and Poland of that period.

Personally I prefer to read about the lives and good works of Religious heroes of Europe. They are tremendously upbeat, and full of hope. It gives the same window into that time and world, but doesn't make me cry.

I'm 20 years too young to know anyone who died in the Holocaust but my Grandparents knew many people. My family comes mostly from Lithuania.
