BC High student beaten, robbed in racial brawl
by Franci Richardson

Thursday, December 20, 2001

In a racially charged brawl, nearly 20 black and Hispanic teens jumped and beat a white Boston College High School student walking to the train station yesterday, taking his wallet and CD player, police said.

``There was a racial epithet that was directed at the victim as he was being assaulted,'' said Boston police spokesman Cliff Connolly, who said the victim was treated at Boston Medical Center.

After school, the victim was on BC High's front walkway when the group converged on him. A female student who interceded sent the gang running into the Harbor Point housing projects, where police caught up with them.

Within 15 minutes of the 2:45 p.m. assault, police arrested two boys - a 13-year-old and 16-year-old, both from Dorchester and not BC High students. One of them waved a knife in the air during the assault.

. I personally think Dorchester should be nuked off the face of the earth, then we would not have to worry about these poor minorities getting attacked by white private school boys, but no one takes my advice anyway.

Hey go easy on Dorchester. I was born and raised in Dorchester. Pronounced locally as Daw-chest-tah.

The so called Harbor Point project which the assailants fled to was originally the Columbia point Housing project. I spent time there as a friend, and a couple of co workers lived there. They (The city of Boston) forced the working whites out, and eventually it degenerated into a high rise slum. We renamed it locally "Sin City". Visiting people there became an adventure. You never came unannounced. You called first to get safe passage in and out. If you were told the natives were restless you stayed away.

The very politically correct City of Boston in the past covered over it's racial problems by not covering racial stories in it's newspapers. I am surprised they are covering this one. This is a non story compared to past racial atrocities that have been comitted by blacks on whites in that area.

I went to BC High my first year of high school,it was located then in the south end of Boston. BCH Got moved across the street from the Boston Globe and near the Housing project. And within walking distance of my house.

It was amazing that with racial conflicts (black on white)happening in the area that the Globe reporters didnt notice. The only racial problems the Globe could find were a few miles away in South Boston where the whites were identified as the culprits. -Tom

This is no stinking hate crime. This was just a simple robbery. Nothing more.

I'm thinking Browning Hi-Power; what do those things carry in the magazine? Thirteen or Fourteen shots? Just start firing.

Ooops, 'scuze me. What's the popular term? Bustin' Caps?
