If such a parent -- who is willing to become a public school teacher -- is not happy with the quality of education provided by the public school, then, I have to conclude other options need to be provided. The new law signed by Governor Bush provides vouchers to these parents to explore other options. Since Gov. Bush passed this new law in conjunction with a long list of other steps he took to support and improve the public school system, I can support this law, as I do not believe he abandoned public schools.
