Re my post #142 -- Another thing I would just like to politely point out is this: whenever someone tells me that ONE way is THE only way in education, I am uncomfortable.
While I certainly respect your right to your opinions, your belief that ONE way: the PRIVATE school way, is THE solution, sounds exactly like the Dem position that ONE way: the PUBLIC school way, is the solution.
I don't buy that from the Dems, and I don't buy it from the other side.
Education is one of those areas where lots of innovations, and lots of solutions, are possible and desirable, because there so many different elements coming into play.
Many parents are this forum have privately written to me and expressed extremely strong support for my view, above, because they themselves have been involved in a variety of educational solutions ALONG the way: homeschooling at one point, public school later on, and even private or charter schools. And, these highly experienced parents know that each "solution" has its up and down sides -- and, there are both benefits and problems in every method.
